It does not repel mosquitoes. I got about 10 bites in one hour of jogging outside in central Texas. Strangely, I did not get any on my neck and arms where I did not apply the stuff. Because this is oily you should spray and then rub it around like lotion for the best effect. The effectiveness is not long enough as my baby still had mosquito bites within the 30min of her being outdoors.
